Aww, thanks Amanda.I realize now that I was standing right next to you at the start but didn't know it. Must have been blinded by the hat. :) Also I was a bit muzzy because I'd been out carousing half the night before. Seemed to work for me, maybe I'll do that before every race.
I started running in 2009 and began to take it seriously about a year ago. I am 50 years old, widowed for years, kids are grown. I have time to work at this and I do. Running has been a blessing and a gift to me. Even typing that out is getting me teary. :)
